Kim – 223 pounds
Her Story:
My weight has prohibited me from being the mother I should be by not being able to do things with my children. It has caused me to not participate in certain things due to embarassment. I have shortness of breath when over-exerted, pain in my legs and my feet are hurting all the time. I am very unhappy with myself. Losing with will afford me to enjoy my young children, and more importantly, will afford my children and my husband to enjoy me!

Whooo Hooo….. FINALLY BACK in the 160’s….. I dropped 1.8 today, putting me down to 169.2!!!! I JUST WANT TO KEEP going DOWN!!!! I have had a rough month or so!!! Had my annual blood and my thyroid is out of wack, first time ever!!! having a full thyroid work up so… we shall see what happens then!!!
I forgot to log how I did last week, but I went down 1.2 and this week down 1.6…. not quite the 3.6 that I gained a few weeks back, but I am back on the downswing again!!! I am back to exercising more, it is still an every day struggle, not sure why because I love the run program I’m on, but I just seem to have to force myself to do it!!!!!
Grrrrrrrr I am very disappointed…. I gained 3.6 in one week….. not quite sure how that happened….. I part of it is my period, but not sure why it is so much… I have had hives since Friday and not sure if that has anything to do with it or not, but I am doing protein for a few days again this week, I cannot go backwards. I could understand gaining that much if I had had a nice piece of cheesecake or a bowl of regular ice cream (not D’Lites) or binged on ANYTHING, but I didn’t….. so only time will tell……
I am not giving up…… I am DESPERATE TO GET TO MAINTENANCE and live a normal life of eating…..(whatever NORMAL looks like)……..
Till next week!!!
THERE WILL BE NO “OLD” NORMAL LIFE OF EATING. Normal eating is balanced foods. look at kiwis and berries as your best source of fruit they are the lowest in sugar. You can eat a whole kiwi 1p & 1.8s thats little . also Dr.L turned me onto edamame’s 1/2 cup is 1p & 0.4s. great snack. like peanuts. and they have wasabi flavor. also, if u eat a 1/2 cup you WILL want your water.
Thanks Connie….. I LOVE the Dry Roasted Edamame!!!! and now that berries are BACK in season, I have been eating blueberries and strawberries a lot more!!!!!
Went on Tuesday (February 1) to get weighed in I shed another 1.4…. back in the 160’s !!!! I am so glad…. now I can see a light at the end of the tunnel….. If I can just stay in the 160s……. I am still struggling with the “Sugar” thing, because my mind is still stuck on 10 proteins and 4 fruits and veggies!!!!!
Ok… went on Tuesday and I have dropped a pound I am glad it went down due to the fact that I am do to get my period any day…. and I can feel it…. Anyway… I want to drop a lot next week, working on it, trying to get back into the running thing again!!!! Started Couch to 5K again and excited about it!!!!
Still cannot get the hang of this counting sugars thing…. Ugh!!!!!
