Kim – 223 pounds
Her Story:
My weight has prohibited me from being the mother I should be by not being able to do things with my children. It has caused me to not participate in certain things due to embarassment. I have shortness of breath when over-exerted, pain in my legs and my feet are hurting all the time. I am very unhappy with myself. Losing with will afford me to enjoy my young children, and more importantly, will afford my children and my husband to enjoy me!

Kimi, keep up the great work. you are amazing in what you have already accomplished. I know from my own experiance, it can be hard some days, but just keep remembering the gift that Dr. Lara has given you and let that inspire you to keep going with the program. You are doing great. You WILL reach your goal.
I went for my 9th weigh in this a.m. and I am down another 1.6lbs which put me at 199.4!!! Wooo Hooooo ONEderland!!!!! I am NOT GOING BACK…. I PROMISE!!!!!! Thank you to Dr. Lara and Debbie…..YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!
Had my 8th weigh in today and I was hoping to be under 200 but…. I am at 201…….UGH….. I shed 3lbs today and YES… I am happy with that, was just expecting a little more, since I went 2 days after my REAL weigh in day, I thought the two extra days would push me over, but oh well, I am planning on having a great birthday next week going into ONEderland!!!!!!
Kim, I am finding that it hard to remember to eat too. Good idea about the phone reminder. I guess the pills just keep me so full that I don’t remember that it is time for have a snack. I do OK with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner but it is the snacks that I forget. Had my first session with Debbie last night and was wonderful. You are doing great!! Keep up the good work.
Thank you Christina…… I went to the Cheese & Chat and a very nice lady there came over to me after the meeting (because I mentioned not being hungry and not eating enough) and she said to me that what she had to do for a week or two was set the alarm on her phone to eat every 3 hours….. I started that and it really has helped “train” me….. And as a result….. I shed 2 lbs this week… I would be happy with that every week!!!!! So… I am 5lbs from being in ONEDERLAND!!!!!!! 19.2 down in 6 weeks!!!! WHOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!
Ok… so I had my 5th weigh in and I ONLY lost 1, but I am thrilled I lost…..I did NOTHING wrong, except I KNOW I DIDN’T EAT NO WHERE ENOUGH….. I just am not hungry, but….. you HAVE TO EAT…. and eat frequently!!!!
But…. I have upped my running to MORE DAYS rather than to just run 3 days……..

It’s strange to think you have to eat to lose weight huh? But you are learning a new way of life and you are doing fantastic! I think it’s fabulous that you have taken the leap to exercise daily. Its a chance to give yourself the attention and time you need to be healthy. Keep going!

Hey Sue: Thanks for the encouragement….. and I heard that every 10 lbs is a size, but I could be wrong…. But I’m glad things are feeling looser on you, it’s a GREAT FEELING isn’t it?
oh…. and I forgot… this was my 4th weigh in too and I lost 2.6 making a total of 16… I am so excited, and I feel tons better already….. It’s only DOWN HILL from here!!!!
there is no exact formula to losing sizes. i was really really really disappointed when i lost 65 lbs a few years ago and excitedly went shopping…to find out that i had not even lost ONE size. not one.
i am, however, now fitting into my “skinny jeans” and wearing tops that were stashed away in my storage closet since they were too small.
Kim, I finally found it!!! YEA!!! You are doing great and I know you will be feeling so much better when you get back down again. I’m starting to notice that my clothes are getting a little loose. I’m looking forward to taking them to the clothes closet and picking out some new duds very soon. I think they said that every 20 lbs or so you can expect to loose a size. At least I hope that is the case. I’m almost there and I know you are too. We seem to be loosing at about the same rate. Keep up the good work. Love ya!
Thank you so much Debbie for your encouragement…. I am so excited this time to get to maintenance and live healthy. I LOVE the staff in the Palm Harbor office and I LOVE the audio you made for me. I SO APPRECIATE you being such a vital part in my journey……. I can’t wait to “shrink in front of your eyes”!!!!!
Kim, I am so excited for the journey you are starting. I want to wish you much success in your weight loss. It was the easiest thing I personally ever did and I hope it will be for you as well. The staff at the office is so helpful and have a lot of information for you. I can’t wait to watch your progress as you shrink in front of our eyes.
